Myles Roberts
Instrumentalist - Flute

Myles Roberts is a graduate teaching assistant to Dr James Hall in the Doctor of the Arts program at the University of Northern Colorado in the USA. He completed his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, both majoring in flute performance at the Stellenbosch Conservatorium with Dr. Corvin Matei, and completed his studies at the Civica Scuola de Musicad de Claudio Abbado in Milan, Italy under the guidance of Maestro Raffaele Trevisani in 2017. Myles won the most distinguished prizes in the Colorado Flute Association Competition, and was the first prize winner for the UNCO Concerto Competition, enabling him to perform the Liebermann Flute concerto as soloist with the UNCO Symphony orchestra. Myles has participated in workshopping a new performance piece by South African artists Philip Miller and William Kentridge and has since performed this work in SA and at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam. He also played principal flute in the 2018 MIAGI Orchestra European tour.
